From Silicon Valley to the living room, people have been self-experimenting with microdosing: taking sub-perceptual doses of LSD or psilocybin mushrooms. Rather than a full trip, the microdose experience has been reported to result in higher levels of creativity, more energy, increased focus, improved relational skills, and reduction in anxiety. But placebo-controlled studies are lacking, and not much is known about the long-term effects.

Join us to learn about the benefits, risks, and what we still need to research. We'll sit down with the psychologist responsible for popularizing the trend and the mother who published her vulnerable account of her personal experiment.

Dr. Jim Fadiman is a psychologist who has been involved with psychedelic research since the 1960s. He is the author of The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide, which popularized the modern wave of microdosing.

Ayelet Waldman is the author of A Really Good Day: How Microdosing Made a Mega Difference in My Mood, My Marriage, and My Life. She was a Federal public defender and an adjunct professor at the UC Berkeley law school where she developed and taught a course on the legal implications of the War on Drugs.

Hosted by Mike Margolies, Founder of Psychedelic Seminars.
