Ketamine: Foreshadowing the Psychedelic Medicine Landscape
Dr. Raquel Bennett in conversation w/ Mike Margolies
Filmed May 15, 2019 with a live audience in San Francisco, CA
Premiered June 18, 2019
Join us for an intimate conversation with Dr. Raquel Bennett, a psychologist and leading expert on therapeutic ketamine with seventeen years of experience. Dr. Bennett is the Founder of KRIYA Institute, which hosts an annual international conference on ketamine in psychiatry and psychotherapy.
Ketamine, originally developed as a surgical anesthetic, has rapid-acting antidepressant effects and visionary properties.
We’ll explore different ways of working with ketamine, including low-dose infusions and nasal spray, ketamine-facilitated psychotherapy, and psychedelic journeys. Who is a good candidate for ketamine treatment, and how can patients and providers prepare to travel safely?
Raquel will also share her personal life-saving experience with ketamine.
We’ll discuss the recent FDA approval of esketamine for depression, which touches on the larger topic of the politics of healthcare, foreshadowing what’s to come in broader psychedelic medicine.
Raquel will be in conversation with Mike Margolies, Founder of Psychedelic Seminars. Mike is a community builder who has sparked and mentored Psychedelic Society groups around the world from Baltimore to San Francisco to Portugal. Mike is also Co-Founder of CryptoPsychedelic and former Co-Director of Psymposia.
